I skimed all the newbie FAQ. But to no avale i just got my first jbody 97 cav 2.2l cs. 100k miles so whats my hp and tq ? I gave 2k for it i thought it was a good deal but it needs some engine work.

hm i think its like 130ish idk i know that a 2.4 has 150...so thats just a guess.

Stock 99 2.2L new is 115 hp - 135 torque.

thats cool i was just wondering because i know its not dohc engine. and my valve cover has no markings. so wasnt sure what i had. Engine wize i have a injector that smells of gas and hase some resedue on it. i was thinking of buying 4 new ones. asumming the current ones are 8 years old. Can I replace the injectors my self?

your 97 2.2l has 120 hp and 130 ft/lbs of torque. in 98 they redesigned it into the 2200 and that one had 115 hp and 135 ft/lbs of torque.
