For about 2 weeks I've got a problem with my exhaust. My header downpipe is touching the protective metal sheet and when I turn and sometimes when I don't move it's doing hell of a noise inside and outside the car. I got to a garage so they could install a bracket to hold the downpipe. The problem is that it broke, it didn't break where they soldered it, it break right in the middle of the rod :
It's stainless all the way, anyone have any idea how to fix it? Make them replace the bracket on the downpipe and add one at the middle of the car. The fact that there's no support in the middle don't help, the bracket at the downpipe is supporting a lot of weight. The idea of soldering brackets on my exhaust is not something that I really like. Rust and the fact that it will be more fragile.... Thanks!!!
I don't think there is much for people on here to really suggest but taking it back to that shop and have them correct the problem or take it to a shop that will if they choose not to.
