Just bought a 97 Cavalier Z24 w/auto. Got it for $400 due to it having a see through oil pan from a rod that left the premises. Other than that it is a super clean car. Does anyone have any advice on any rebuilders who are selling remanufactured engines? Is this the right avenue to take, or should I just rebuild this one? Thanks in advance for your input.

your better off getting a core from a junkyard and going from there. engines for jbodies are a dime a dozen. if you are having problems finding parts try www.carparts.com or ebay always works just do your research and everything will work out best of luck and welcome to the org as we call it here.

i say it everytime i see someone looking for an engine. ebay is great if you've got the patience to look around. dave got his engine for under 500 bucks for his sunfire.
