pin striping

My cavalier has the hideous pin striping down the side that says heartbeat near the rear of the car. I would love to remove these but i'm not sure about how to do it. Do I just peel it off and use some goo gone to get rid of the sticky stuff left on the car? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

get a hair dryer to heat up the sticker. then you can probaly take your finger nail and take it off.

only problem would be color.

if that has been on the car since it was purchased in 95/96, you may be able to notice where it was, since your paint has surely faded since then, and the paint under the pinstripe/decal has not.

don't forget the wash and wax, since goo gone strips all protective wax off the car.

If there is goo still on it WD40 will get it off easy. I know I keep WD40 in a stockpile, but not goo gone.

The car has been kept in really good condition though. I think it was kept in a garage before I bought it. The paint may have faded a little though. Maybe i'll try just peeling a little bit of of one of the ends to check the paint before I do the wole thing.

Maguirs body scrub works wonders on faded dull paint. True it can't bring back what the suns fadded away but it does help.

Polishing/buffing compound can help if there is a colour difference.
