need to know is this a hard task? what im trying to do is mount my SAFC where my ac controls are now.. or if you know of a better place to mount it im open to suggestions!
~thanks Austin
Ken96Z had a screen molded into the center dash so his HVAC controls were mounted in the glove box, I don't knwo if the wiring will actually reach that far but worst case scenario you cut the harness and extend all the wires.
its not a hard task
You can take out the two A/c vents in the middle and use that area there. I'd move the HVAC there and the SAFC where the HVAC was.

Are you sure you want to keep the SAFC for permanent use? Are you planning on boosting in the future? I'm asking cause I see your handle name.

www.orangez24.tk check my relocation of my HVAC.
It will also reach the Glovebox.
i am boosted
install should be done very soon only thing left is the DP other then that hook up the gauges.. i already hooked up the safc.. i was just going to put it where my A/c controls are now and move thoses to the glovebox
I swapped mine to my glovebox a couple years back. Just a matter of moving the wires over and cutting out a hole for them to go there. Very easy to do.

Wait...so you
are boosted or
about to be boosted?
The reason I'm asking these questions is because the SAFC will do you no good in tuning. SAFCs tune according to RPM, not to boost. An SAFC would be better for someone running N/A. Especially seeing that you are an 04 (you have the 04 OBDII computer), you're gonna have a hard time if you don't use a proper tuning device.
So before you go moving wires and removing things, think about that.

The S-AFC II is the same thing as I except it has more options and stuff. The SAFC2 reads knock and it also lets you tune it in 200rpm incriments instead of 400 like the SAFC1, so it is more precise. thats the only difference.
And yes i am boosted! pics will be up soon!

I know exactly what it is and does because I have it. Please tell me you're running an FMU or something else with it for tuning.

oh yea i have the Cartech adj FMU with Dsm 450cc injectors and the safc.along with the walbro 255 intank fuel pump.
I don't mean to thread jack, but in order to help you better you should update your registry. And listen to Adam, he knows mostly everything.
Ban low-performance cars, not high-performance ones.

I bet you the safc isn't doing anything for you. I mean, if you're keeping it cause it looks cool at night (I'll admit it does) then I guess keep it but it's not helping you tune.

Not everything but the stuff I know, I talk about.
