I was just wondering if anyone knows if Matrix, Weapon R and YSD are good muffler brands? If so, are any of them better than the other? Also I was wondering if it would be less expensive to buy my own ehaust pipes or to just buy the ones at the shop where I get my mufflers put on? Any help would be greaty appreciated!
Weapon R is a good brand , dont really know of the others ...
Popular brands around here are Magnaflow, Borla , HKS and Vibrant/APC.
I recently had an OBX muffler on my car, it was nice until someone hit me and dented it.
Matrix is ok and Weapon R is pretty good. Dont know YSD.
Even though I dont have one myself I prefer magnaflow. And it would probably be cheaper to buy the pipes from a muffler shop. I got mine done for just a hair under 300 with me buying the cat and muffler elsewhere. If you buy premade you gonna be looking at 4 or more, unless you find a deal on ebay or something.

Thanks everyone for the info- this is where I found the pipes:
Exhaust Pipes
Here are the brands of mufflers I was lookin at:
Mufflers
They are all about the same... I mean, quality wise, they are more than likely the same, you're basically paying for the neame. They are generic canister mufflers.
I say go Magnaflow cause you can get them Stainless Steal and beautiful.

There will be a lot of cutting and welding involved to get that piping to fit. Your better of at a muffler shop.
If its a fartcan your looking for. I would suggest getting on off ebay. There is no difference and mine sounds great.

I love the sound of my magnaflow muffler! Its stainless steel so i can polish it up for shows down the road and ya lol it mostly all depends on what type of sound you like also. Iver herd people say magnaflows are loader but a higher pitched load and then the weapon r's are quieter but a lot lower sounding. Idk this is what i herd but i cant terll a danm thing between then two!!
i got the dual magnaflow and I must admit it not just sounds great. Just like NJHK said"they are just beatuful" to look at. Plus the lil bump in HP.
Yea I would also like to add that magnaflow has a nice deep tone to it.
Im happy with the fartcan for now, but I will be getting a magnaflow sooner or later.

hey Donna - where in MD do you live? i can recommend a good shop who will do a catback exhaust for $150 if you give them the muffler(and make an appointment ahead of time). they're reliable and have been around for years...and their work's quality. they don't like cheating their customers, either.
. . .
holy crap...you know Heather Hyson?
