no buddy had a z w/ the bomex kit on stock wheels and it looked pretty good. just make sure you get a quality set of coils and struts to go w/ it.

im big on suspension so i hate when people do them wrong. oem struts are crap they can barely handle the stock springs. if you lower on stock struts they will blow. you'll be bouncing all over the place over little bumps and its not safe. do it right the first time and then you can forget about it. if you want coils you need either koni yellows or d-specs. that type of suspension brand new is gonna cost you like 600-900 bucks. that includes quality struts and a quality set of coils

It may run fine on stock struts for a little while, but they WILL go and sooner not later. Might as well get the struts and do it all at once.

Also note, if you are paying less than $400 for coilovers (read, coilovers, not struts + coilovers), then you are probably going to break something. Those coilovers on ebay for $70 a set are JUNK.

You could always look into a pair of lowering springs with quality struts instead of coilovers. Check out the Suspension FAQ for some really good info.

Blown.

Bagged Cav is totally right. Do it correct the first time and save yourself the headache and money later.

I'm on coilovers on stock rims (winter time, plus I sold my 18's) and I don't think that it looks bad at all.

I HATE coilovers, tho. These were pretty cheap and haven't caused any problems with the car but they pop and crack and I wish I had my goldlines or even my intrax lowering srpings back. Much smoother ride.

get lowering springs in the g/p($99) and get some good struts like mentioned above. i have the yellow koni's. yes the stock struts will blow in a short matter of time, very short.
worse case get the springs in the g/p and then save for struts. im sure a g/p for struts will pop up faily soon.
