In new hampshire we have a new law that started... When we go for inspection we need to pass an emissions test. I really want to finish my whole exhaust and get a header and a high flow cat... i was looking and ive read that the magnaflow 93XXX doesnt throw any codes, and those are the ones to go with. is it possible it will pass an emissions test?
You talking about the Catalytic converter?

I've seen people have no codes thrown, myself, I have a code thrown from it...

most common code from that is the o2 sensor. they make an o2 simulator that you can put in there to get rid of the code being thrown.
ive had to do emissions test ever since i started driving, they suck. just be thankful you dont live in pa where they plug directly into your obd2 port and do everything now. no way around running someone elses car to pass for you
just because it doesnt throw a code doesnt man it will pass emissions. here in ca we also have a visual test. every aftermarket part has to be stamped with a CARB approval
thats because cali has all that smog, its not so much a problem on the east coast. it is true that it still can fail even though theres no codes. if everything is connected right and the whole exhaust is sealed, you shouldnt have a problem.
Yea thats why i didnt know if it would effect it or not. I dont wanna go through and have to put my stock converter on then go get inspected, then put the high flow one back in. Thats why i wasnt sure if the magnaflow 93XXX would be ok, since it doesnt throw any codes i didnt know if it still was approvable...
