You need a resonator, that gets rid of it.

i think it's unburnt fuel igniting in the piping. something like that but that might have been one of the many myths about all the exhaust b/s. just get a res.

If you have an excess amount of unburnt fuel, you're running Rich.

Naturally when you open up your exhaust system with bigger piping you're gonna hear everything more compared to your stock exhaust and change the flow of your exhaust. This is a natural occurance. My theory is that there is alot more going on that you can't hear on a stock exhaust system because of the way they designed the exhaust system.

haha i thought it was because your pushing all that air out fast and the poping is it sucking air back in or something.....hmmm

Exhaust only does one thing...exits. There is no re-entering, not even with a VIP pass

right on the money adam. your exhaust system is actually repelling the sound so it reverbs and produces close to the same sound coming out there by canceling. its like If you were to say something then I were to say the same exact thing tone for tone you would not hear it.

there are actually devices that have/are being reasearched that produce a recodring of the exact exhaust sound in order to cancel out the origanl nosie. sound is a very cool thing.

as for the poping dont worry about. whats happeing is your fuel system sees the need of fuel so it raies the injector flow via duty cyle. and thus more fuel goes into the engine well when you let off the gas the injectors slow up as fast as possiable but usaually let little extra in. its really no big deal your cars just doing what its supposed to.

mine does it and when i just had a cheap straight-through muffler w/stock resonator it poped like crazy and started 2 annoy me but not i have no resonator and the rksport magnaflow 2.25 single exit cat-back and the poping is not as noticable of course i was surpurised that the exhaust sound all together was quieter than the cheap muffler and stock exhaust lol

I can make mine pop without revving it high. You just press lightly on the accelerator. I don't know if you'll understand. It more of a feel for me. It's the point where your car would start to accelerate but without putting much into it. When I get to the point where it would start to accelerate I let off the gas and it pops!!

Well popping all depends on how your exhaust is setup and also if you're running slightly rich.

If its running rich, would resetting the ECU help it out? or maybe relocatiing IAT to a wamer part of the car ?

Son please, are you high on marijuana? You better shut your mouth, because you
probably drive a HONDA !
