Well, when I start my car and push the brake to put the car in Reverse or Drive, the DRL light flashes like, 9 times and then goes off and Service Engine Soon light comes on. But if I turn on my headlights before the service engine light comes on, it never comes on.
Any info on this? Very newbish question.

could be any number of wiring issues. i would take the car to like autozone or some place that scans the codes for free and see what code is actually being thrown.
My car did the same thing a month ago. I replaced my headlight bulbs and have been fine since.
chances are one of your highbeams is blown
Hmm, it seems as if my driver side high beam is actually blow, I never drive with my brights on so I had no idea that it wasnt working untill I went out to check tonight. Thanks for the help guys, I need to buy me some new headlight bulbs.
when your service engine soon light comes on that could mean 100's of things, but chances are and hopefully it will just be a headlight bulb.
