newbie with sweet looking 00 cavie

hey peeps take a look at my 00 cavie on cardomain.com member giant80. I think that the car looks good but hey that's only my op, but that is the one that counts right because I drive the car. I want to put my 4" HKS exaust on the car that I had on my R-32 Skyline, that I just came into possision of again since I left Japan about two years ago I've got some other things that I wanna do to the car in the future like a targa top, engine swap 3.8L twin turbo, front mount racing intercooler, different seats, and either airbrushing or graphics on the side of the car. let me know what ya think

hey welcome to jbo... i like the car except for the wing, too big, and im wondering which front bumper its got on it. blitz or bomex?

anyways, good luck on the modding... just so you know though, the targa top will be very hard to do since most of the frame for the cavy is in the roof. and the 3.8 twin turbo will be a tight fit. i know its been done with 3800 supercharged ones but idk how much modifications were done to make it fit. you might try searching on it to see if it will work.

again good luck and welcome!

First off, welcome to the

The 3.8 TT setup you're thinking of doing on our cars...I don't think that would work so well. Look up the member "Raven" and you'll see how much space he has with his 3.8 s/c setup...it's not roomie whatsoever. Single turbo...possible...twin, I doubt it will fit. The targa top idea, that'll have to be completely custom, so good luck on that one.

By the way, if I had a R32 Skyline, I wouldn't leave Japan lol

Car looks great, wing looks good from the side, makes the car look longer. Looks bad from the back tho.

Nice car tho.

man guys the rims are 17x8 and I'm getting a tighter suppension that will drop the car about 4 inches. yeah I know that the wing makes the car look longer but I think that I got it on a little to far back and it should be brought up just a hair or so. as for the front bumper right now it's go the bomex on it because the blitz is getting ready to go in for some fixing, man I hate animals. and as far as leaving Japan and leaving behind my awsome R-32 I hated to but it was going to cost more to ship and convert to US specs than the car is worth, looking at about 35,000 and the car is an 89. but I've got my old HKS exaust that I'm going to modify to fit onto my cavie. I know that the targa top is going to be a complete custom job which is why I'm still doing some desiging because this car is my daily driver right now and I don't want to put her down for a while until I can get my truck ordered and delivered. I still have to resurch a convertable cavie to see what the doors look like and how much modifying I'd have to do to a convertable door to make it look and work right on a hard top cavie that is going to be a targa top. as far as the enging swap I have a friend that did the 3.8 single turbo swap and he said that it's possible but tight to squeeze in another turbo so I figured what the heck I'll try it when I get my engine done.

it might be more worth it to just put on a sliding rag top instead of the targa top... some people have tried the targa but if you ever got in a reck youd probably be screwed.

Welcome to the

I like your car and your wing but thats my opinion also.I think the black rims dull it down some to me, but hey your opinion is what counts.I've had plenty of people who don't like my taste in style, and I didn't care for the style they liked either, so we were even.

I was wondering about that, 2 identical cars? HUH, both ugly, both dirty, both with 16" rims, not 17"s.
