new to jbody

tossing ideas about on adding hp to 05 cavy sport. barely has 20,000mi yet but looking at removing exhaust from headers to tail and replacing. also looking into msd, wires, plugs etc, etc,. any suggestions. This is different from that 20yr old z28 that sat in garage.

Your car doesn't have spark plug wires, so no need to worry about that. Keep the stock plugs or go iridium, the bosch +whatever's are trash.

Thanks for not eating me Jcavi. whats the deal with the plug wire situation. Like i've said, not what i'm used to seeing under the hood.

I would start with bolt ons. Intake, exhaust, and motor mounts etc.

Check out Car Customs they have really great prices for parts.

your car dont have any wires. if ya dont beleive us just pop the hood and look.
incase you are wondering where the plugs are. pop the hood and lok on top of the engine, it says Ecotec 2.2 on a little black piece. that piece is hold down by 4 bolts. they are under there.

yeah i've seen all that. Ignition coil sits on top of plugs via rubber boots. Anybody got any links to good quality air intake system?
