ok, so i got my powerslot rotors and hawk pads and installed them about a week ago. now the problem is , they've changed color. the rotors that is. they have like a burned metal color to them. so i wanted to know is this normal? especially only after a week. and i dont drive the car too hard. no hard stops.

powerslot rotors are coated. when you press the pad on them, the coating will wear off where ever the pad touches the rotor. this is normal. the coating is there to protect (aka not rust and basically look ugly) all the edges that the pad DOES NOT touch. where ever the pad touches, it will have the normal metal look.

most all rotors have the burned metal look, you just dont notice it because they dont have the coating on them to begin with. if you look VERY closely at my sig, you will notice the edge of my rotors and the center section of my rotors silver coated, and where ever the pad has touched, has taken off the coating and is showing bare metal. this is normal.

you are a-ok bud
