I wanted to convert my cavy to RHD what do I need, where can I get it, about how much are parts going to cost?
Sell your car and Buy and ship one from Japan... much cheaper and it will be done much better... No offence intended...
If you are going to do it yourself you would need to flip the firewall, the pedals, steering box, dash, mirrors, possible rewire the gage cluster and column controls as the wires may be too short to reach the other side of the cabin, and probably a few other items that I have overlooked...
Knowledge about everything and yet an expert of nothing!!
Jack of all trades.
i second that... it would be way cheaper to buy one in japan and ship one over. You wouldnt have to do much to it.. just pay for shipping and pay for all the inspections. From what i understand chevy made the toyota cavalier to US safety specs... So you shouldnt have to worry about that. There is another thread somewhere around here that has a company that had one for sale for like 15k... anyone have that link?
besides...if you were to aquire one already converted to a post office mobile, at least it'll be done right. it'll make things hard to do(like drive-throughs, etc) and it'll make you look funny going down the road, but to each their own.

The Toyo Cav is not on the NHTSA or EPA's approved list of importable cars, so it will require inspection within 6 months of being imported.
If you are wanting to convert to RHD, you can use whatever parts are needed off your USDM Cav to bring it to spec, then sell off the rest.
Just go through drive-thrus in reverse!
TRY THIS!
see if he still has it for sale...it may help
