If you receive a message advising you that someone would like to purchase your item from overseas, please be extremely cautious. This is a common scam, and the scammers target this site often. The message will state that you will be paid by check for more then your advertised amount, and you will return the extra amount with your shipment. THIS IS A SCAM! Remember to take any and all necessary precautions to protect yourself against fraud. If in doubt, search through the forums on this site, many fraud topics have already been covered in the past.
i currently have this guy that wants to buy my fender flares, he says that his accounttant has sent me the money which is 300 including shipping in s check, and he wants me to pay for the shipping and then e wire the rest of the money sounds like what the paragraph says, and then what
ignore that potential buyer...because he's sending you a bad check.

Oldest scam in the book, do NOT fall for it. They will actually send you a money order, most banks will accept it and give you cash, however, the money order is a fake, the bank takes the money out of your account, so you're out the fenders, and whatever you sent him, stuck with a bill for the money order from the bank.

i try to sell locally but i have no problem shipping to the USA (im in canada) if they paypal the cash. if they are like well i can send you a MO i just tell them paypal only.
it sounds bad but i dont want to get screwed.
if it sounds even a little too good to be ture it is, where all cheap here (inculding me) if your selling an item for $100 we will offer $75 or whatever NEVER more then your asking.

I prefer Paypal because I've had to deal with deadbeats before. Paypal is pretty good these days about getting things sorted out correctly. If I get a check or MO I always wait for the bank to clear it, not just depot it, but actually clear it. Call your bank and ask what the difference is for you, and how to tell.

sometimes. i got ripped out of 120 bucks and paypal didnt do anything. (granted it was no one from the org but from a company)
