I have a stupid question. I have looked around but couldn't find the answer. What does N/A stand for when refering to a car? If the answer is Not Applicable, I am going to unplug my PC now and sell it.
Thanks
how much you want for your pc?
Well it seems it wasn't a stupid question cause trevor didn't know either. It means naturally aspirated, meaning no supercharger or turbo charger.

also no nitrous

Meaning the cars airflow is not diverted or recieved by any outside source other than what came with the car from the factory.

Thats not quite right...
You can have an NA car with an intake, built head, forged bottom end, header, intake manifold, filter, etc, its still naturally aspirated. It simply means that the vehicle does not have any kind of forced induction (turbo/supercharger/nitrous).

Agreed, except for one thing. I don't think of nitrous as forced induction. It's something else entirely as it doesn't actually force air into the cylinders, per se. Granted, nitrous releases more oxygen during the combustion process, which allows for more fuel, which in turn gives the same end result as boosting. However when used on a motor that is otherwise naturally aspirated, even the nitrous oxide is still taken into the engine at the same rate as the incoming air.
Sorry, I just felt like I had to put that out there.
^ ^ ^ ^ Is right. Nitrous isn't considered a sorce of forced induction so it would still be an N/A engine even if its running a 500hp multi stage wet fogger system.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
hmmm really? i would of assumed that nitrious would be a type of forced induction.

I was wondering on that, but then again, if i said something, a war would start.

I forgot to put forced, but yeah I agree.
