Figure more then that for your paint work! Hot Rod had an article long time back that said as a rule of thumb figure at least 1/4 of the total money spent on the car will be the cost for the paint job and any body work. Your going with black so the body MUST be perfect or every little flaw will jump off the car. So take the total your planning to spend on the intire car, all its new parts and stuff and figure at least 1/4 of that amount will be needed for the paint job.

Yes thats alot isn't it ?

well if your looking for a decent paint job, to get a full color change your looking about 2k for a decent job but prices vary from shop but it should be around that price for a decent job.

why no supension work? those wheels are going to look ridicious on the car if its not lowered (also id buy different rims that not everyone already has)

Avoid pacestter headers, even though the price seems good it's because they are JUNK. Spend a bit more money and go with stainless steel headers or look for better ceramic coated headers. A good company to go with is DC sports.

Pacesetter makes ceramic coated headers you do know. They are NOT junk at all, in fact till now I've not heard anyone say anything bad about them.

Why do you say that about them anyway ?

From what ive read on other forums is that pacestter products in general only hold up for like a year or maybe a lil more and then it starts rusting through. My dad had pacesetter exhaust on his celica and it rusted through in like a year. Maybe there products have gotten better since then. And a local exhaust shop also told one of my friends that thier headers dont hold for more than a year or two.

For David Hope:
Well that shop you went to, if I were you I would not go back, they are retarded. I have numerous friends that have the Pacesetter headers on their cars, been on there for over 2 years now, wow, imagine this one, no rust at all. Your told something, you go by what you hear, people on here have all different headers that pacesetter has, and yet your the only one that has anything negative to say about them, and yet you do not know this from personnel experiance, just what you were told from a shop. Until you know from your own experience you should notjust go spouting your mouth off, try asking people a question about their header. Like, Iheard that pacesetter headers rust through in a year or two, is there any truth to that, and what are the experiences of anyone here that has them." Try that next time, if you want the truth. Yes, from what I have heard numerous times on here that the exhaust (cat back in general) suck, since they rust through in about a year. My advice to you is learn about what you are talking about first, then give advice.

Dreamfire:
If you look around a little better on the internet, you will find better deals on the Kappa line than your getting, I have heard nothing but good things about that line though. Also, if you really look for those wheels, you will find them cheapier than that with tires.

Sounds like you have a decent plan, when you get done with it, post some pics so that we may see how it turns out.

I've heard the pacesetter EXHAUSTS aren't that great...but i've always heard their headers are top notch...I know several people with pacesetter headers, and not one complaint about them....

well as for the paint, my father owns a shop and it is a PPG rated shop. i had some body work done on,my car wich included a dent the size of a nickle in the hood along with just a few nicks, a dent in the rear quarter panel and front quater panel, and they repainted the hood, and quaterpanles and the door also to blend the paint, and the cost was 1200. now i got that done for free as a susprise for my bday, and of course, he didnt have to pay that , but that is what it would have cost if i was to have to pay for it. and with it being PPG rated work it has a life time warrenty on it.
