searched high and low, so please don't flame me!!

ok, just installed an aftermarket head unit (partially) but i need to know what is the hookup for the yellow (memory) wire. i'm the definition of newbie but i've been reading this forum for a few days (basically 24/7) trying to get "in the know". i didn't have the usual noob problems such as getting the dash off and such, but the yellow wire has me confused. i have a 2002 cav and i'm getting power and everything to the deck, the only problem is, the deck has constant power. obviously i can press the off button and that will work but i rather have it the GM way, where the radio only gets power when the key is in ACC. as it stands, i've connected the yellow and the red wires together. i've tried connecting the yellow that goes to the HU with the red, but that doesn't power the unit. i have to connect both yellows and both reds together. i hate to burden you guys with such a silly question, but unfortunately, the deck's manual doesn't have specific instructions. anyways, i hope someone out there answers my cry for help. thanks in advance and in abundance!!!

What adapter do u have?? Is it one that has the chime module.

If not, ur gonna want the yellow to be constant and so that can come from the red of the stock (if i'm correct).
The red from the deck needs to come from a wire that only gets power when the car is on. Lots of people like to use an add a circuit on the windshield wiper fuse.

Ask on here or IM me if you need more help.
