Is it fine to use the paper gasket that comes with the header or should I get a new one from GM

also how bad is it to use the clamp to connect the downpipe to the cat. ,,,should I get it welded asap?

thanks for any help!

I have one true love in my life...And my girlfriend sits next to me in it

get rid of the cardboard gasket that came with it, its garbage. you can either reuse your stock one or go get another one. the pacesetter gasket is crap, i used it and it leaked 2 days later. i took it off the car and it just crumbled.

Paper gasket = CRAP ! Just re-use your old steel one thats what I did and zero issues. Or you can buy a new one if you like.

Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.

I'm taking the paper gasket out tomorrow. Me thinks there is a leak... Fortunately, I saved the metal one.

You can clamp your downpipe for the time-being but, I wouldn't make it permanent. It definitely needs to be welded.

Use the metal gasket and weld the downpipe
