SUNFIRE HEADLIGHT BULB (Output not good enough)
Friday, July 14, 2006 9:14 PM
Hey guys, I bought a new set of Luminics Titanium White bulbs for my 1997 Sunfire a few weeks ago and the output wasn't good enough, all you do is screw the bulb back into the headlight right? I tried re-aligning my headlights but nothing. I'm sorry for such noobish question...

was it dim or is it just the bulb?

It was dim. I put in on my dad's cavalier and it worked fine.

Are your headlight covers painted like your taillights?

based on the picture in his profile:

i would say you hit the nail on the head.

if that's paint, then remove it. if it's a pair of headlight covers, remove them. common sense is your friend.

i've seen more foolish things in person. we cannot assume you are more or less likely to do similarly stupid things, as you are so new that no one knows you.

yeah i have those same bulbs... output in the rain SUCKS!!! my passenger lamp adjustment bolts are broken so it shines down a bit too much, but i have to drive around with my brights on for decent results. (i have the other aimed down for the time being so that it doesnt shine at other cars until i find a new pass. light.)

Eh, i like the Sylvania (sp?) Cool blue bulbs, they wonk pretty well.

This is low beams, and i can see the road just fine at night, and pretty good in the rain as well.

good luck! you could also do like my roommate did, and get a pair of Hella foglights...they light up the road rather nicely. i have a set on my Subaru, and i definitely have no visibility issues.
