hey guys,
came across the site a little bit ago, and after doing a lot of reading, i figured i would finally post.
i'm looking for a cavalier coupe, semi-new, around the years of 99-01, 5 speed.

my question for you guys, is there anything on those years that differ that i need to look for? i know on some cars, sometimes the manufacturers have more defects one year than the others, and i wanted to know if anyone knew of anything.

also, is the z24 that much better than the 2.2?

i'll be buying my car as a commuter for when i travel back and forth from college. i plan on doing a couple mods, wheels, stereo, etc. as i'm addicted to modding cars already.

so any help anyone could provide is greatly appreciated!

z24 is better than the 2.2 or 2200 but they have a problem w/ the #3 bearing spinning.

the only difference really between the 95-99s and 00-02s are the 00-02 have bigger headlights and turn signals. the 00+ have getrag trannys (which are known to make noise but are much better than the 95-99 trannys). im sure there is alot more to go on w/ this but i dont really know much about engines and trannys. im sure shifted will pop in and explain more
