my car

Hey I am new to the j-body forum but I have been on other car forums. I just got a 98 Z24. My long time plan is to either put a GM supercharger kit on my 2.4 or put in a cobalt SS motor. Anyone know what one is better? Time, work and money are not that big of a factor. I just want to know what way would be the best way to make my car sc'ed

Tell me what you think!

My car was made with wrenches, Not chopsticks.

very cool.
i believe it would be easier to get the GM s/c for the 2.4L, and you should end up with around the same amount of power as the stock s/c ECO, but then if you go the route of the ECO, its a never ending powerplant, while the LD9 does have its limits(due to a smaller aftermarket, and its just not capable of the boost that the ECOTEC can handle)... u said time/money/work wouldnt be a problem, so really, its up to you at this point. no one here has done that swap as of yet, so no one can really give too much insight into what is involved with it, but from what ive heard (may or may not be 100% correct, its only what ive been told) i believe the cobalt SS engine swap would require a LOT of fabrication on the subframe and such(im sure if im wrong ill get bitched out, but it happens). something along those lines. but i think itd be a cool swap. and if youre really interested in that engine, then go for it, try it out yourself and then let everyone else know.
your car looks really nice tho. im more into a stock look, and the 2 tone really sets off a good feel, as does the shave... keep it up, and welcome to the .org!
