New and in help
Tuesday, September 05, 2006 5:04 PM
I've got a 98 Auto Cavalier that shakes while in Drive, especially at 45 mph.

It also shifts hard, a noticable jump when I shift out of park into reverse to drive and back.

I've taken it to plenty of places, 1 tire kingdom told me it was a tire which was replaced but still shakes. The other TK told me it's my motor mounts but Midas can't seem to find anything wrong.

Please Help.

Its probably a wheel bearing or tie rod end.

could be a bunch of things

tire shaking:
1) wheel needs to be balanced
2) car needs to be aligned
3) tie rod could be bad
4) cv joint could be bad
5) wheel bearings

as for the car shifting hard, im going to say its broken motor mounts

disagree. my 95 Corolla ran and drove beautifully until it was totalled in 03, my 99 2.5RS drives like a dream...and my turd of a Z24(a 91, no less) didn't jump around either. sounds like your car is as borked as his.

you know, i love when people like to criticize others about their behavior,
but turn around and do the same freaking thing months later...
