I've seen alot of people here that have removed the tuner tube. What does this do? I've also seen someone remove the "bong"?
you might gain 1 or 2 hp at best. makes the car sound different.

nothign really... basically its a little maze of piping before the air filter, a crazzy bong looking thing in the fender well. Its pretay much used to quite the airflow down and make the engine sound quiter.... you can remove it and you will have slightly more noise under acceleration but in terms f power the gains are extremely minimal at best. I highly doght there is any power gain, you would probobally see more of an HP differnce form weather then you would form this.
On my tan cav I removed the bong because you need to take it out to do the trans mounts, so I just didn't bother puting it back, no difference what so ever

does anyone have instructions on how to take the bong out? i know how to get out the tuner tube, but not the bong
It's actually quite easy, all you need is a phillips screwdriver (X, on 1995-1999 cars)
Take out the fender liner, it might be hard to get at the screws, so you can turn the wheel if you want. Once that's off (Just rip er out
) unscrew one screw holding the bong to the window fluid reservoir. Then pull it out as carefully as you can (You'll have to pull the bumper away a bit.
Done and Done.
If you think it will be confusing, just take the fender liner off, and it'll be super obvious what you have to do.
