Becareful with EBAY, the term you get what you pay for, that might apply here. I have nothing to add about this muffler, just saying be careful on ebay.

I don't know how they get away with this stuff. The N1 muffler along with 99.9% of all the "titanium" and "stainless" mufflers on e-bay are a joke. I bought a N1 Fireball from TC5 Motorsports a few months ago. It was supposed to be an aircraft quality stainless muffler. Now for $19 + $20 shipping, I wasn't going to argue. Advance Auto has the exact same muffler (even the part number) on the shelf for $90. I just needed something temporary until my Magnaflow came in. I had an open pipe and got stopped twice for excessive noise (luckily no tickets). Anyway, when it came it looked nice and sounded o.k.. At least it cut down on the interior resonance. That open pipe was driving me nuts. Anyway, I had to weld a pipe onto it to make it fit. Stainless my a$$. I got a nice bead on it and installed it without a problem. Two months later it's discolored and a little rusty but for $40, who cares.

My point, you get what you pay for. BTW, TC5 Motorsports is no longer a registered user on ebay.

Once in a while you can get some good deals. I've had several eBay mufflers on different cars and I can't really complain about any of them. They may not have stayed shiny like new, but ehy never rusted out or anything like that. Heck, I got the HKS muffler for my Cavalier off eBay. Not some knock-off, either. The real deal. Sometimes if you're lucky you can find private sellers that have some really nice stuff. I bought a Sylvia rear section, hacked off the pipe, and fitted the muffler to my car. I've found that if you look for mufflers that'd fit with a little work, but not necessarily made for your car, you can find some decent stuff.

I got a pretty good deal on my Flowmaster (not for the cav) on eBay.

Remember, stainless will rust on the surface, although I don't think it is actually the stainless rusting. I am much more familiar with pontiac bonnevilles, and they come with 100% stainless exhaust from the factory. With Michigan winters, they have rust on the surface, but they will NEVER rust a hole in them.

I hate when I see these post where people bash ebay. A muffler is a muffler. my muffler on my custom backback is from ebay. my old cavys muffler was from ebay, my brothers old skool galants catback was from ebay and his talons cat back is from ebay.. no problems at all. fitments were correct on the cat back and not only does his catback still looks good it sounds better and even loosk better than my friends Greddy exhaust. Most ppl who bash ebay never have purchased from there but instead just listened to what others have said.
