ok i got a ? for all of you.

ok here it is i have a 97 cav 2.2ohv i can get about 115mph out of it. well im tired of this motor dont all i can to it plus this is my projuect car so i was thinking why not make it look like a project car. so i went out and bought a 95 beretta gtz that was wrecked on pass side 200 bucks. nice rims wings runs great. same trans as mine. but it has the 2.3 ohc so this is what i am doing.

i am taking the motor and trans out of it and rebuilding it and trying to get as much horsepower as i can out of it. now here is my ? for all of you.

has anyone done this? if so could you get in contact with me i would love to talk to you.

if not then i guess im on my own.

either way thanks guys.

no not steelies. five star black gtz 16 rims with 195/45 16 bought off of ebay. and yes 115 is when my limiter cuts in. i have a little honda switch hooked up to the computer that tell it to raise the limit of when it shuts off my fuel. it took about 1 week to figure out how to hook it up but it works.

people have done that. but not sure who on here though.

Those tires are way too small... your speedo is reading 7.9% too fast.

@60 on the clock, you are only travelling 55.3 (also running the odometer 7.9% fast)

Go w/ either 205/55r16 or 225/55r16

which is why he thinks his car cuts off at 115 when it really cuts out at 108

Its just shy of 106 (105.9)... but who's counting, right?

The ECU would read 108 on the clock (99.4 mph actual) and kill fuel.

What's gonna be funnier is when the swap is complete, and the car is taken out for a drive. And he finds that the new ECU also has a fuel cut for top speed programmed into it.

1- No beretta Gtz in 95
2- No 2.3 ho in 95
3- Last quad in a beretta was in 94
4- Not the same tranny at all as the 2.2.
5- You don't know sh** about what you are doing
6- yes it as been done but you have to search. If that is a word of your vocabulary witch I think not.
7- Rebuild it for more power? YOU CAN'T handle the power of the Ho for a start because you're too dumb to drive your 2.2 safely.
8- You'll never get more power out of the Ho because you don't know sh** about it.
9- The tire you have are way to small and weak for the cavy weight. The stock tires are 205/55/16
10- You're car will most likely not be legal since you are putting an older engine in.
11- Your stock suspension is too soft for the Ho power.
12- There's a speed limiter of most 2.3 Ecm except the modify ones witch I won't tell you.
13- You need more than the engine and tranny
14- The cluster will most likely not work right without wiring.
15- I wish you a nice ban for not searching and asking a stupid question like that.
16- You won't get help from the regular guys
17- I won't help you
18- your nickname is rollingdomestic? A 2.2 OHV? man you need to learn alot of things
19- you're 27 and don't know better?
20- You joined 12 days ago and it's all you ahve to ask?

21- want me to continu?

Learn to read man he said 2.3 ohc not 2.3 Ho.

And if mike is talking the truth then that motor only has about 115 -120 HP as its the OHC version not the DOHC version.

If it is the regular ohc 2.3 then it very well could have the same trans as the ohv 2.2 from the cav

My 2 cents

^^ did you realise that you made a fool of yourself?

The only 2.3 that was in the beretta were the Ho and they stopped in 94. In 94 it was the beretta Z26. Also, the OHC tranny has the SAME housing as the normal 2.3's so no it's doesn't fit with a 2.2 tranny.

Also, you better leave me alone with your stupid remarks.

Damn noob.

Anyone with a brain can search the internet for this.

Being a Beretta enthusiast myself I can second what Mfk says.

Let me reiterate.

1. The Quad-4 was dropped in 95 model year Beretta.
2. the 93 model year was the last year for the GTZ
3. If you want to speak about another model vehicle please be sure you know what you're talking about.
