Just wondering what our cars have....in my case a 2002 Cavalier
I have one true love in my life...And my girlfriend sits next to me in it
However an independent rear from a late mold Alero will bolt in with some minor work and will also give you rear discs...
Solid rear is similar to RWD trucks and older cars w/ the pumpkin differential housings....
Ours have some flex to it but is not truly IRS...
The Torsion axle has the advantage that one tire going up doesn't cause camber changes in the other tire, but they still transmit energy almost the same as a solid axle.
I believe the manual calls it "Semi-independant rear suspension"
"The Blue Bullet"
The manual calls it that because it sounds better than a torsion axle.
Everyone knows independant is 'better' than a solid axle (or that's what they think anyway)..
So which word would you rather use if you're not afraid to twist the truth?
