There's a Sunfire SE, GT, GTO, GTX and a Cavalier Z22, Z24, SLX, VLX. I bet I missed a few. What's the differences between them?
Sunfire SE and GT are the only ones available from the factory...the GT has a "performance" motor. the others are dealer kits and such, and really aren't worth the money. cavalier z24 is the only factory option...the others, again, are dealer kits. the dealer options are generally a body kit, possibly rims of some sort.

you know, i love when people like to criticize others about their behavior,
but turn around and do the same freaking thing months later...

that is all mis-information that lilbit gave you
i think she drives a sunfire gto

those are the only ones and well besides the ls model cavaliers which is pretty much what took over the z24 name. the rest are something dealers throw on a car to make it sell.
T2 is making things up, don't believe that crap. Also electic supers don't work at all.
Those tags are made up by dealers and are not official submodels, as a few have said already.

i think you missed the sarcasm train.

The Sunfire SE also came w/ the 2.4 as an option... same engine that's in the GT's.
But they all said it... anything but Z24, SE, or GT is "dealer rice"
Unless there was something about the "Special Edition" Cavs which were released in 02 (I think) which was a GM option...
Don't forget the 4 doors Z24.
Gilles
2.3 Ho
And LS sport... darn afterthoughts

I didn't miss the train, but there are plenty of noobs that would believe it.
j/k = just kidding
jason bright, everybody up above explained everything for ya
if they missed the j/k at the end of his post, then they deserve to believe it.

it was in 03 and i think they were just black and silver base models. it was basically GM using up some old parts. Old pontiac sunfire spoiler, old S10 stripes, and a cavalier door sill. I think that was all that was "special" about them.

just something to make them sell faster. nothing "special" about it
There are also the Rally Sport cavaliers that I
believe came from the factory. Weren't there other trim titles for the 1st and 2nd gen cavaliers and sunbirds as well?
Yeah.. There were RS, LS, Type-10 Cavaliers.. I think I missed something....
The Sunfire (2000, J2000, 2000 Sunbird, Sunbird) came in LS, LE, SE, GT, and I'm sure I'm missing a few here...
I'm not sure if you count when the Sunbird was an H-body, but I don't think it had submodels at the time.
(All of this could be wrong! I'm not any sort of authority on historical Js).
Umm... guys... the
FAQ begs to differ with a lot of you.
I got a Z22
. I should get the pictures to show it off
Makes it sound special but all its got is a weak little 2200 engine
Dont forget the RS. That's a Cav too.
It's a "trim level"
