Okay im either going to get a 1991-1994 2dr Sentra or a 1998-2000 Cav. Which car, in your honest opinion, is better for autocrossing, while still being a daily driver? Can you mode a Cav to handle with the best? or does the basic geometry of the cav's suspension always going to hold it back?
whats the best it can do in the slalom and skidpad fully moded for handling?
thx.
sentra...they handle beautifully, ESPECIALLY that generation.

but turn around and do the same freaking thing months later...
A cavy can be modded to hold it with some of the better cars. If youre doing organized autox though you'll be thrown into the category with all the best though, so you'll probably not fare so well. The sentra comes stock quite a bit better than a stock cavy though.
nissan sentra...and make sure you get the 200SX... you can later swap a SR20T in it and you'll be running 12's

that doesn't help if he wants to autocross the car. HANDLING is far more important than power when it comes to an autocross course.

That's why I said "later" you can add a SR20T.....if he wanted to
look at the convertable cavalier the frame is built different and i think it handles better

I believe you meant "a full hardtop compact car >>>> any convertible compact car
of the same model
I can name 3 compact verts off the top of my head that would humiliate a cav in the twisties:
-mx-5
-z3
-MR-s
But yes, a great deal of structural integrity is compromised by cutting the top off of the car.
