another '04 intake install question
Wednesday, October 04, 2006 8:06 AM
its raining so I had to stop install for the moment. Looking under my hood I have the old intake off just waiting. I started the under the wheel stuff, didn't complete. Just wondering if I can keep the washer reservoir and just get rid of the piece that sticking up beside the battery(only part left from the intake)?

It looks like this piece I'm talking about is just connected to the washer reservoir although I dont know and cant find out cause its raining.

If i get rid of that reservoir how will I have washer fluid?

would it be ideal to leave it like it is now with the little hose comming up beside the battery and the reservoir still in the car?

Most kits allow you to keep the resevoir. If you removed it you could cobble up something else with aftermarket tanks and whatnot. It's not a complicated system. Tank, pump in bottom, filler at top.....

just pull on it hard enough, the two peices are not one, look for bolts and such holding it on, once you remove the "bong" there should be enough room for the intake tubing and cone filter

The reservoir will stay, just pull really hard like navycav3 said. I hacked my resonator deal up really bad before i knew just to pull it out
