anyone ever tried re-reuting the AC ducts from the cabin, to a closed airbox under the hood with the short rams, and then cranking the AC on col, and fan speeds up? for some reason that just seem to make sence, the air would be much colder then normal.

Running the AC requires the use of horsepower to begin with by its sheer nature...
I don't think you'd gain anything and lose more... as well as lose the ability to stay cool in the summer.
Average losses of using the AC = 8-10hp
Gain of an air intake = 2-5hp.
Result = -5Hp
Yes it has been done back in the days when you were not a member. It was used on a boosted engine so it was a good thing. It's the only reason to use it. It's just like an liquid to air intercooler just that it use the AC.
