hey, im 18 and own a 89 cavalier RS and its quick, but i want it to be faster, peppier, faster off the line anything. i was wondering what things i can do to the motor to give it some more GO without going too crazy, and help would begood thnks.
Start with the intake. Ebay intakes are just as good as any other on the market. Their all the same, and if you don't like the filter that comes with one, get a new filter.
After the intake it can start to get more expensive. Exhaust in my opinion helps, but it will help with top end more so than off the line.
On the top of the message boards you see a little search box on the right. Type in anything you like that is board related and something is bound to pop up. Try it.
an 89 RS isn't really going to be worth if. if anything a complete engine build for boost and a turbo. if you want it to sound a bit better, E-bay intake and an exhaust.
On an 89 with what I'm guessing a good clip over 80,000 miles its not worth it IMO. Save your money towards another car with more potential.
