My name is Liam, and I just found this sight today. Very infomative so far. My wife said that I needed to find a hobby, so that I would get out her hair ( beats marriage counseling!). Well anyways, I bought a 95 Cavalier four door, and plan to trick it out slowly,so as not to find divorice court. I have had the car about two months, and yesterday, while setting at a stop light I noticed a strong smell of gas coming out of the air ducts while the heater was running. I found a leak on the left side of the fuel rail, where the first electrical enters the rail. It is eating gas quick, but I am not noticing any loss of power, leading to think that it isnn't an injector problem. Anyone have any Ideas on what could cause this problem, and how to fix it.?
Thank you for the welcome.
Welcome to your new addiction, You might want to fill out your profile before asking any ? cause some people wont help you until its done, but again welcome and like Yellow Rimmed One said have fun
follow the fuel line and try to find were the leak is.
I fond the leak, it is a bad injector, and the fuel is actually coming from the electrical that attaches to to the injector. Thanks also on the heads up about the profile pantherclaws, I will go do that now. Again, thanks to those who have responded
post some pics when you get a chance welcome
I will, it is stock right now, but I will be adding to it each week might have to start a pic-blog of it s it goes.
there should be a round rubber seal between your injector and where it goes in. chances are, that seal is cracked or it shifted. and by the way, welcome to the jbo
People say that what doesn't kill you in this life
will make you stronger. I'm not sure if that is true
or not, but i do know one thing-You have to learn from
it and it has to make you better.......it has to.......
I will try that, I hope it is just the injector seal, thank you
