LS = LS Sport?

This is a silly question, but it's been bugging me for a little while now. Why do a lot of car sites have both LS and LS Sport listed as models, aren't they the same thing?

LS and LS sport are two different cars...the LS Sport replaced the Z24 midway through 02. If you are in Canada, you still have the Z24

Which comes to an interesting point. My LS is badged an LS...the VIN comes back as an LS Sport (my insurance says so and so does the dealership when I take it in).

What exactly is the difference? Is there an RPO code?

do you have the chrome wheels and a FE2 suspension....should be on the spare tire cover

That's one of the reasons why I asked. It's because I have a 2002 LS, badged as a "Cavalier LS". Granted the engine actually says "Ecotec" on it, so it should have been pretty obvious what my engine output is, but I was just curious.

My moms bf has an 03 LS...there is a difference. His car is kinda weird with the options. its an LS witht the Crome ls sport wheels, but he doesnt have the lip kit. He also has the real nice audio system but power nothing, its a weird ass setup.

^^^^ depending on 2000-2002 LS sports it was a lip kit, on 2003+ Ls sports, it was a whole different bumper with molded lips

My car's an '04 Cavalier LS Sport Coupe, and it has the upgraded suspension, Chrome wheels, chrome tailpipe and an aggressive stock body kit on it. My roommate has an '04 Cavalier LS sedan, no lip kit, same rims but not chrome, upgraded audio, but power nothing, not even remote keyless entry!

My car looks just like an '02 Z-24 with updated front and rear fascias

no lips kits for the Z24's in '00 and '01.
