Compression Ratio= 9 to 1
Net HP @ RPM= 125 @ 5200
Maximum Torque Ft Lbs @ RPM= 135 @ 4000

Normal Oil Pressure: psi @ 3000 RPM= 56
all i came up with was garbage posts

seriously you make WAY to many posts asking for EVERYTHING about a subject. there are many threads out there about every question you ask. and to be honest doing it someone elses way prob isnt for you. go full on custom since no ones ideas seem to be good for you.
My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
some have swapped ecotec, 2.4s, V6's, even a very brave few did V8 swap.
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
Wow, this post reminds me that half of JBO has an IQ less than 100.... not that it was a big surprise in the first place.

I have heard of northstar swaps as well (No physical proof to support this though).
That is about all I know for GM motors. I wouldn't doubt that there have been people not on the .org who have done motor swaps from other car companies.

"Youth in Asia"...I don't see anything wrong with that.
I don't take anything this guy posts seriously
Seriously what is wrong with the youth of today (Yes I realize this guy is the same age as me) but why must people come to forums or even people who show some sort of knowledge on a subject and ask forr every piece of information they have. Has the modern age prevented the vast majority of people from researching and learning things on their own. Everybody that shows this knowledge that you seek got there by learning and asking specific questions, tieing pieces of information together and reading...alot. I run a website log for the Engine Development of our Schools Formula SAE team and you would not believe the number of emails I get asking "Teach me everything about building engines" or "Please tell me all of your references". Everybody expects information handed to them on a plate with all the important aspects highlighted and nobody is willing to work for it anymore. No wonder school systems are going downhill, they must now cater to this style of "learning"
As for Engine swaps done in a J
SEARCH
and if you come up with garbage posts
SEARCH for more than three minutes and then
SEARCH

be creative and put whatever engine you want into your cavalier.....don't u modify your car to be unique? so why put an engine in the car that some other people have?
Go Premium, it builds character!
if you have the money, im sure you can put any engine you want in. its all about how much your willing to spend. <<<<<<<So thats the question you should ask yourself because your not going to find that answer here.
and no matter what you do theres going to be people who dont like the idea but its your car do what you want.
I think new members should have to post 50 times in the newbies forum before they get access to post in the rest of the forums

change 50 to 100, and then put said member up for review.

I was a noob once...I had been following posts on the JBO for over a year before I joined. I only joined to thank everyone who's posts helped me with my initial mods (intake, secret cams, HO manifold, and underdrive pulley). I felt I had good enough understanding of my motor by then to join I guess. I would have hated to be forced into the pit of ignorance that is the noob forum.

As John stated "access to post", this wouldn't prevent you from reading and doing the research in the regular threads.
Most other automotive forums require a minimum number of posts in the newb forums before being 'promoted'. I think this one has gotten to the point where similar structure is needed.
Oh yea, I just finished my RTM322 swap, runs pretty well, but I think I need a K&N intake as well.

what about those of us that own cars that are already hooked up, and then join the site?

I could've sworn the 3 speed was a little slower
If you found the multitude of eco swap threads to be crap, despite the fact that there are a few with pictures video and a complete how to write up...then I can safely say you didn't search. If you haven't seen the 10+ page long build on v6's in 3rd gens then you haven't searched. "Advanced" Search all forums including subject & message bodies for your topic, if you turn up little to no results change your search wording.

sucks to be slow, doesn't it?
northstar engine wont swap in. i mean yea the motor will fit but the trans doesnt. unless you do some major modification to get it to fit.
