So I did a lot of driving today, probably 150 miles here and there, both highway and city, and it was a decently hot day out (around 85-90 degrees, that's pretty hot up where I live). And about halfway through the day I notice my engine seems to be a bit louder than usual, and I'm feeling some vibrations on my feet. It doesn't seem to be too bad, I've got no check engine lights going on or anything, and it seems to be driving fine, but I feel like it's a bit odd. I think it may be because of the heat, that seems to make sense, but I'm wondering if I could have done any permanent damage to my engine. I know it's not a smart thing to do, but I was driving in the range of 70-90 a lot today, so I definitely put a bit of stress on it. If you guys could please let me know what you think might be wrong, if anything, that would be great. Thanks.
Is it still doing it?
I would check the following with the engine hot (like after driving for the day.)
Oil
Transmission Fluid
Power Steering
Those are the only things I can think of that would cause the car to vibrate like that without the engine not working anymore.
Also, I know it sounds stupid, but check the tightness of the lugs on the wheels. Mine were loose one time and it made a vibration sound. If I hadn't of caught it, I would have lost a wheel.
Well, there's a reason I'm posting in this forum. Turns out I had an oil leak. I was running on little to no oil for about 2-3 days now. Got some oil in there and now it's running a lot better. Thanks for the help.
Also, (since I have no edit button >.>
, a quick question if I could. I'm obviously new to cars, but trying to learn, so please excuse my stupid questions. Transmission/Motor mounts reduce vibrations, allowing less power to be lost, and more of it transferred to the wheels, correct? How effective are these, as in, how much do they help/add on average?
You have them already.

Well, you can get new more solid motor/trans mounts. Not really a power adder (per say), but more of a quickness thing. They allow power you are making to get to the ground faster. With everything good, there is a bad side. The motor/trans mounts absorb vibration, with firmer ones, you feel this vibration more....
