Do they make chips for the ECO yet? If not, do I need to get my comp. reflashed?
2004 Ecotec Cavalier 9.9 in the 1/8th mile. 15.7 in the 1/4 mile.
you should use the search feature to figure this out. people ask this all of the time.....
but no there isnt a chip, or at least one that works.
you have OBD II so you cant chip it, you can get a stand alone.
May I ask why you would want to do this? you dont have the mods for it even to be worth while.
how do the mods work? like do they just plug in? how does this affect the computer to make my car go faster.

yeah OBDII cannot be chipped or reprogrammed that i know of. and as far as i know re flashing your ECU would merely set it back to stock? unless it was to be flashed with new firmware, but i see way too many problems with that.
Well I have an intake, header, High flow Cat, full cat back exhaust, and a High flow fuel pressure regulator. And I was thinking that if the computer was reset it would notice all that and pump out some more fuel.

But you shouldn't just go monkeying around with HPTuners if you don't know what you are doing. I see HPTuners suggested quite a bit on here to people that have never even heard of it, let alone know how to use it successfully.

"just pump out more fuel"...classic..go into the tuning section and read up my man..those are basic bolt ons and honestly why do you have a highflow pressure regulator? Hpt is out there..it does have the ability to compensate for certain mods but you dont have anything that suggests you need it. Maybe spend some time reading, save your money for a real mod and go from there..using hpt without knowlege can and will ruin your car..just my .02 tho..phil
