newbie, with a busted 97 cavalier

Hi all, I'm John. I was searching on google and came across these forums. I needed a good source for my beater cavalier, and this place seems to be the right place. Why am I here? Well, my wifes 97' Cavalier needs a new head gasket and I'm going to tear the motor apart this winter as a fun project. Gonna build it back up with my brother in law for fun. So.. if I had questions, I needed a good place to ask em, this is the place!

I'm actually not a USDM tuner, I'm into the JDM scene. But.. I'm not a USDM hater by any means. I love all cars but prefer Japanese makes. I started a group called the bB Squad (www.bbsquad.net) and I'm an active member as well. I have a 2006 Scion xB aka Toyota bB and I absolutely love it. Here are a couple pics of my box (car... ) :

So thats my daily.

On to whats important. What is a good source for buying replacement parts for Cavaliers, especially the 97's. Also, anyone have the part number for the head gasket? Thanks!

For some reason, when I look at those things, I imagine one pulling up to a club with some guy opening the back doors to reveal a mobile DJ service stuffed in the back. Sort of like "look at me, I'm shaped like a squared-off delivery van", but at the same time "I'm hip, cute, and from Japan". It makes my brain hurt.

97 with the 2.2L i assume.

gmpp direct I also recommend. But, if it is for fun, why not just swap in an ecotec? much much much more pep.....better gas (IME)....and much more fun to drive.
