noticed my 2000 cavalier z24 seems to heat up a lot when sitting and idling in traffic .... car normally runs around the 90 C but when up there and then you stop and idle the temp will climb and doesn't seem to go down until i get back up to speed. Temp has been 30 + with humidex 40+ a couple days almost 50. My fan does turn on and run.
Im just curious if this is something i should be worried about. I really hate it running that hot, but dont want to be sinking a ton of money into it when its only a few weeks out of the year that its this hot here.

stock....for now, no big things in mind just intake....muffler....short throw shifter...clear climates........supercharger!!!(if i ever get the money lol)

yea mine does as well and cools off as soon as the fan kicks on. it is normal
There is a fan mod in the library,might want to check it out
