1988 pontiac sunbird 2.0 liter ohc automatic
at auto cross the engine hits the rev limit at about 4800 rpm
sound low to me
is there away to bypass the limiter ( feels like the fuel pump cutting out )
the motor is stock and has a new gm pump and filter and fuel injector
also all new in the spark side
i have tryed other computers to see if this would help and no go
are there any companys that make a chip for this car and raise the limiter????

this and the speed limiter are not allowed to be spoken about, because JBO cannot be responsible for any injuries caused by someone taking it off or modifying it. to do it though you have to reprogram your pcm with HPtuners, but im not sure that the program supports eighties jbodys.

hello mr. misinformation...

the rev limiter isnt a disallowed subject, just the speed limiter.

i would look into eprom burners and chips if i were you. hptuners only supports the 97-05 j-bodies. there's many posts to be found here, just have to look for them.
