I was wondering what engines i could swap into my 98 cavalier?? Right now i have a 2200 that i'm extremely unhappy with.. It's just annoying how if i have 4 people in the car then i have a 1 minute car how exciting.. AND its a standard.. Anyways, yes i've tried searching but didn't know exactly what to search and i've been through a good 30 pages or so worth of engine swap threads and couldn't find what i wanted..

Soo can anybody tell me what engines have been swapped into a cavalier without dramatic changes to anything??

there is no swap you can do without alot of work. but, you COULD do the 2.4, the eco, or a 60* v6 of your coice.

oo ok.. not exactly sure what 60* is but yea i understand.. I just meant dramatic like things that make monster garage people look like babies with screwdrivers and some metal.. thanks though..

only engines that are better (stronger) than the one you have that will " drop in" will be the 2.4twin cam, 2.2 ecotec , and 2.3 quad4......all of which will require a tranny change if im not mistaken and youll probably need to change the pcm and wiring harness that they use...but at least you wont have to cut and weld anything......unless you go eco.. i think its tranny requires a differnt mount than your 98 has

you can drop in anything if you have the money
