I just wanted to take a moment to make an introduction post. I just purchased a 2002 2.2 (code 4) Cavalier this past Tuesday and I love the gas mileage. I was previously driving a V8 AWD suv. Goodbye 14mpg. Hello 28+. I don't plan on much in the way of mods. I'll most likely just tint the windows and smoke the tails. So far, all I've done was change the oil, drop in a K&N filter, change the plugs, and get two new tires. I'm planning to flush the coolant and get the transaxle fluid changed sometime before winter. The car has 97k miles. Aside from that, I was hoping to just pick up little tips here and there for maintenance and things like that. My fiance also has a Cavalier. Its a 1998 2.2 (code 4) with 174k. Both of our cars are coupes. Mine is silver and her's is black. I'll try to snap a picture sometime in the next couple of days and post it in here, but its not something you haven't seen a million times before.
The plan is to maintain both cars through winter and then I'm going to trade her's in on something a little newer and give her mine. Well, I don't want to make my first post too long, so I'll stop right here... for now.

welcome, and good luck with just doing a couple mods,... it ends up getting addicting. lol
Eat my shift
Believe me, I know the modding all too well, lol. I had a heavily modded '04 Infiniti G20 for a while. The Explorer I just sold had a few minor mods done to it too... suspension, cold air intake, exhaust, etc. I really just want to keep this one pretty stock. The most important thing is that the maintenance is kept up. Like I said, I'm giving it to my fiance when the time comes to get something else. I'll probably be looking at a used Lexus IS or possibly an Infiniti G35.
I've been reading a lot of threads here for the last few days, but just decided to create an account today. It looks like a pretty nice community here. Hopefully I can learn a few things about the J-Bodies. I'll be the first to admit that I don't know much about them. You can ask me whatever you want about Ford 5.0s though, lol.
yeah... that's what i said too. "i really just want to keep this one pretty stock." and then BOOM, the addiction started!
oem trunk lid, oem tails, oem headlight swap, oem strut bar, oem lip, oem interior swap... lol
but yeah, welcome to the org.

5 seconds to find another street...
Thanks for the welcome.
BTW, my previous post should say '94 Infiniti G20... not '04.
