Flex Pipe?
Monday, October 22, 2007 9:08 AM
Hey guys I was just wondering what exactly a flex pipe is made out of? I know its purpose and how it works and why someone would need one. But I don't know exactly what it is made of. I see the braided steel wires, but is that all it is? I would think that the exhaust would be able to leak through that. Anyways thanks in advance!

the braided part is just to keep the actual flex part from stretching out too far and breaking. it looks like a bendy straw underneath

go back and just tell them to weld in solid pipe. you dont really need the flex pipe. if you try to get them to weld in a real flex pipe it will be expensive( not worth it IMO )
