I have a question for you. I searched and found nothing. This girl at my school has a 1997 Cavalier 4door that has the same 2.4 that my Z24 has. Is this the orginal motor? She says it is but I swear that the 2.4 was a Z24, or GT option only in the USA. Could someone please shead some light on this, or links to places that could? Thanks alot, Nathan

they made 4-door z24's as well as getting an upgraded 2.4 in the other models

Her car is not a Z24, just a base cavalier. It has no options besides power windows and locks. So does anyone have an idea of how many were ordered with the 2.4? So is her car 'rare'? Thanks alot for the quick replys

The car isn't rare, but it was an option in all cavaliers. There are no statistics kept (or at least released) about how many were made.

Yup i have a 96 LS with a 2.4 not really rare, just different.

my moms old 1996 4 door cav had a 2.4 power everything. cd player too
