hey all, the reason im posting in the newb forum is cuz i assume the answweer is so simple to my question. i bought my car and i could hear the PS pump, my dad told me check the fluid level, when they get low you`ll start to hear it when you turn. so i went to canadian tire and got some PS fluid. It was the only kind there it said GM and all car makes on it so i figured it was ok. topped it up to the C mark and it still makes the sound, but its getting louder, is the PS motor friend?
When u filled it was the engine hot or cold? When the engine is hot fill it to the "H", when the engine is cold fit it to the "C". You still might be alittle low on fluid.
sounds like its cooked ether way .... cause if im not mistaken even if u over fill it ... it shoudlnt make that sound ......
my parts truck @ my work ... has that problem and i tried to top it up and ... nothing just louder ......
should start looking around for a aftermarket pump ...
