Hey,
I have an 02 sunfire. is there a way to make the daytime running lights not turn on? maybe use the turn signal lights instead? i hate the way it looks. Also, do the daytime lights run on a different bulb that i can change out for a whiter light?
i got no idea, but if it really bothers u, u could always disconnect them.

just drive around with the e-brake up one click
or do a search. its been coverd on here before

When you have the E-break up while driving it makes that annoying dinging sound does it not.....does in my cav anyhow
When I start driving in the daylight i dont turn on anything and as far as I know there is no light coming from my headlights....at night obviously I turn on my headlight and in takes two click...isn't the first click day tim running lights?
I have one true love in my life...And my girlfriend sits next to me in it
it take more that one click
and in the newer models if you go over a certain speed they come on
go in your fuse box and take th drl relay out and put a jumper wire between 30 and 87a .. everything will be all good

the bcm trick works best just make sure you plug it back in all the way, i thought i did, and it vibrated out, and i lost my insturments for like a week

the first click is the instrument panel lights and whatnot.
also, after thinking about it more. If i replace the stock headlight bulb with something brighter and whiter, will that also affect my day running lights? I think i will do that instead
cant you just take the drl fuse out?
there is no specific fuse for the drl's
at least not on my 03

Remember that Pre 00 and 00+ are two diffrent animals when it comes to DRL. If you goto the NY J-bodies website library they have instructions on disabling the DRLs. I wired a switch so I can turn them on and off as I want. 1 year now with no side effects.

pulling the e-break up one click also applies your brake lights. try the jumper wire suggestion. Ive wondered about this too, especially for smoke shades in daytime

There is not a fuse but there is a relay and i used to pull that for like a few months but got tired of it, because when you pull the relay you have a service light on, and if you turn your headlights on with the relay out then the one headlight is brighter thatn the other. Just to the DRL disable since i have a 00 it worked.
if you use the jumper wire between 87a and 30 both the headlights are the same brightness but the service light stays on sorry

because people keep posting in it!! ...ooopps hahahaha
Hi guys,
I have an opposite question - how to make my Sunfire lights (head ights or parking lights) glow while driving daytime but without using a switch to light them on. It is a must here to drive with lights on and sometimes I forget to do so, this attracts policeman's attention.
Could anyone give some instructions, please?
take an ACC wire (wiper fuse or steering column) and connect it to thick brown wire....car on =parking lights on
My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
Thanks. Will try this out. Just have to find where ACC wire is located...
