Idle problem with 03 Cav

Last week my car basically died on me. I had it fixed and it was the fule pump. Literally a day after that my check engine light comes on and everytime i stop at a red light my rpm's drop and then go back to normal. I thought it might be the throttle position sensor so i got a new one and it's still doin it. I have put the original one back on and will be taking it back to the garage for them to fix it. I thought that i would at least post my problem on here to see if someone else knows what the problem is. The check engine light is off and has been for awhile but it still has the drop in idle when i come to a stop. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

check the MAP sensor, and the tube that goes into the intake manifold.

did you get the codes read when the CEL came on? that would definitely help in troubleshooting.

Well when the mechanics checked it they told me what it was but I didn't have a pin ready to take it down. They made the check engine light go off and they drove it up the road and brought it back. At that time they said that it was fixed. I then start driving it and it was good for about a half hour then the idle problem at stops came back and not soon after the check engine light. I am taking it back tomorrow and then they can tell me what code is that its throwing and I will look it up. The car runs great except for those stops so I am just going to let them fix it because at this point they are workin with me on it so I am prolly not gonna get charged a lot. I am confused when you say the tube that goes into the intake manifold. Are you talking about the intake because thats all I can think of. Its intake, throttle body, then manifold but what do I know I am the one asking the questions about things I dont know. Now which one is the map sensor. I know I have the mass air flow on my intake and then there is the TPS on the throttle body and then another right beside of it, is that what it is.

When replacing your tps you neeed to unhook the battery for 20 minutes so your computer is cleared and it can relarn the new sensor. I swapped them out when I had simalr issues and did not unhook the bvattery and the problem was still the same. You must unhook the battery when doing it. Also try and get that code that will be a huge help.

Yeah well I was going to do that but of course I didn't like a tard. The garage called me back and said that they wont be open until wed of next week so thats even more time that I have to wait. I would just go get the sensor and try to rest the comp but I just have a feeling that it has to do with the fuel pump work they did. My guess its a vacuum leak somewhere.
