Hi to everyone, another newbie here. Just picked up a 2003 Cavalier Coupe to use as a commuter for a 90 mile daily round trip. Needed something that's good on gas as my other car uses high-test and gets lousy milage.
Found the Cav at a local dealer who had had it for over three months so I got it at a real good price. I've already researched the forums to answer most of my questions, but can't find one:
What trim levels did the 2003 come in ? Mine seems to be a "plain-jane" with the auto trans, NO power windows or locks. It does have the 10 spoke alloy wheels and power sunroof , am-fm-cd , tach. There's no model designation on the trunk lid other than Cavalier. Just curious.
Again, hello to all.

i was just generalizing it, i'm not entirely sure the actual trim levels of the 03+ i just know i've seen those on cavaliers before, and in canada they do have an 03+ z24, but i'm sure you already knew that

To be honest, I'm not fimilar with the Cavaliers at all, but I'm learning via the forums. I generally do all my own maintaince and am not afraid of getting down and dirty. Wife and I own Subaru Outbacks, and mine is a modified turbo. Uses high test and on a good day will only get 20-22 miles per gallon. I just didn't want to put 500 miles a week on it. I was looking for an inexpensive daily driver/gas sipper. Dosen't mean I'm not gonna play with it-already have plans for exhaust/cai/suspension. Seems like a fairly easy car to work on (compared to the Subaru) and parts are 1/2 to 1/3 the price of the Subaru Turbo.
I will be lurking and will probably be asking some of those noob questions, so bare with me.

As long as it's highway driving, you'll see a gas mileage gain from intake + exhaust + tune. Mine went from about 30-35 stock to 40-45.
