What upgrade to a vehicle affects the mpg the most? Is it minimal?
i think everyone can and cant afford that upgrade...
wrong sized tires, heavy rims, the 5 dead hookers in someone's trunk.....

LOL
Forced induction systems...high output fuel pumps...thats an odd question, why do you ask?
Well i had a truck that got 12 mpg. I got the cavalier so i wouldnt have to spend $120 jus for driving to school and back. Instead im spending like 40-60 a week. Huge savings, but i dont want to make a mistake of upgrading the cavalier to where its practically the same. I get 20-25 mpg depending on what im doing during the week. How much affect does it have on the mpg, 2 miles...10miles? or is it unknown but it does affect? thanks
Thats kinda an open ended question......
Do you drive in town almost all the time... or do you hit up the freeway quite a bit?
Knowing that will let you know if body kits or anything that changes your aerodynamics will hurt or not....
Except for what I said above...... basically anything that adds weight or makes your engine burn more fuel will lower your milage.. all though you have to go a bit extreme on either of those to make a worthwhile difference..
Well im driving about say 30 miles. altogether stop lights and signs. I was doing 100 miles a day but switched career choices. So it came down to 30, I do go on the parkway for about 10 miles. Short distance, but long in the same. I do drive in and out of town often also. So i know my fuel economy will suck with driving like that.
Clean air filter and regular tune-ups i would say is your best bet. I would even recommend a K&N stock replacement air filter, flows better and is washable.
make sure your air pressure in your tires are up to spec. remove any weight you can. like heavy tool box, stadium chairs, etc etc
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!

ha ha WTF
Basically keep your car clean, check your tire pressure, and stay on top of regular maintenance and your fine.... to be honest... the way you drive effects mileage more than whats done to the car unless you have a 300hp built engine.....
I have a heavy ass stereo system, full exaust, intake, and cams.... and my gas milage really hasn't changed much at all since it was stock..
