what exactly is seafoaming?
i've seen the youtube stuff, but what exactly is it doing?
and why?
with the engine running you pour a little sea foam VERY SLOWLY into you brake power booster vacuum line. it gets sucked in and cleans the upper intake, valves, and combustion chambers. does it quite effectively too.

^^^^^that is correct!!!!
heres a fun fact:
seafoam has been collected from gulf of Mexico, during the tide changes near the oil rigs, the oil that spills is caught up in the tide and when collected it has great cleaning properties! The smoke is from when the saltwater goes through the chambers.
where do i buy this sea foam?
autozone, advance auto, orielys any auto store around you should carry it my walmart even has it
You know,i tried it as directed, thru the brake booster line and it didnt work,so I put it in the gas tank which is also on the directions.I wonder why it didn't work, and yes the motor was running.

Did you run 3/4 of the can through the booster line, then shut the engine off for 15 to 30 minutes? You have to let it sit and "work" before it will start smoking. We seafoam about 100 cars a week at work, all of them smoke like crazy when done right.
I modified my own induction tool to use seafoam. It allows a constant metered flow of fluid to be sucked into the booster line. Its also adjustable so it can be changed with each vehicle. Ive added a "
Y" vacuum adapter to keep it from sucking in to much fluid and hydro locking the engine.
how good does this work. i've never seen it before. do you need to change the oil after? more info?
horsepower is the force that determines at what speed you hit the wall, torque is the force that determines how far you take the wall with you after you hit it.
If you are using seafoam as an "intake cleaner" there is no need to change your oil. If you are using it as an engine cleaner in your oil, then yes you need to change your oil. Seafoam works really good, but I would also recommend a can of throttle body cleaner and spray your butterfly and everything.
Detailed instruction for seafoaming your car can be found here.
